GSF Leadership
GSF is governed by a diverse and committed Board of Directors, drawn from education, law, business, publishing, and related fields. An award-winning educator and expert in geopolitics and international affairs, Dr. Chris Harth serves as the President of the Foundation and directs its three corporate divisions: research, outreach, and philanthropy. Dr. Frank Eastman, with decades of experience in education and publishing, serves as Treasurer.
Two additional corporate bodies assist with Foundation governance. Our Advisory Panel, chaired Dr. Avery Goldstein, Professor of Political Science and Associate Director of the Christopher Browne Center for International Politics at the University of Pennsylvania, helps oversee GSF research, including the critical task of defining, measuring, and promoting "global literacy." Our Grants Committee, comprised of educators and professionals from different fields, works with the philanthropic division, particularly with the application and selection processes for student, faculty, and institutional grants.
