Complexity Resources
Complexity theory offers a powerful lens for understanding how the world works, illuminating similar structures and dynamics in wide range of systems. Cutting across disciplines and fields, this relatively new paradigm can help us better recognize and appreciate nonlinear patterns in global affairs, particularly its inherent volatility, interconnectedness, and unpredictability.
Recognizing the far-reaching applicability of this new paradigm, the Global Studies Foundation seeks to provide resources that can help students, teachers, policymakers, and other concerned citizens understand and apply it.
Toward this end, links to several resources are provided below, including an overview of the field, a brief assessment of some strategic implications of complexity, a selected bibliography, and a preliminary listing of external online resources.
Over the coming months, GSF will continue to expand these materials and welcomes both feedback on our offerings and suggestions for additional resources. To provide feedback or suggestions, please submit our online information form or contact us.
